We spent a couple hours at the square today taking advantage of the blue sky and seldom seen clouds. It was a perfect day in Beijing. You only get a handful of them so we try to take the camera and do something outside when they come. We bought a kite for RMB3 (40 cents US) and as usual, attracted a crowd.

2007 Chinese New Year Getaway

We decided to get away for Chinese New Year. We didn't get away soon enough and had a full weekend with never ending fireworks. Not to mention a full week after our 10 day trip to the Philippines. We stayed in Manila our first night, went to Boracay for the majority our our stay and returned to Manila for the last couple of nights. We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice beach. They don't come much better.
