Lucy first meeting her teacher, seeing her classroom

Back to School Dinner

Off to the first Day of School

I would just like to report that the first day they had a full day and ate lunch at school I sent Lucy with a Brownie (her favorite desert). She brought it home uneaten because she didn't have time to eat it at school. The rest of her lunch was gone...sandwich, veggies etc.

Is anyone else impressed??

I can't say I'm surprised though. Lucy is a rule follower. Her teacher is going to LOVE her!

Third year at Hogwarts

This years party started AGAIN with a visit from THE owl. The doorbell ditching owl though had a new fun story....

Last year it was Millie and Owen who showed EXTRA fascination/borderline fixation with the Owl. I think they loved it and feared it....My intuitions were confirmed when this year Millie answered the door one day to find the Owl suspended on the other side...she started screaming and crying and slammed the door.

School List

We started Sunday Evening at 7 0'clock making dream catchers for the following days Divination Class

Then Fred and George Weasley showed up and helped the kids take a portkey to the Quidditch World Cup....This was our expandable tent. Complete with lounge chairs, a large kitchen area, a coat rack, dining table, party lights etc. etc. The kids LOVED it!

I loved it!

Interviews with Rita Skeeter

After dark we had a campfire devotional complete with spiritual enlightenment for all (a little deviation from the party, but the best part of the weekend), then finished with smores and a sleepover in the tent.

That morning the Owl came HOOTING along and waking everyone up delivering the Whitaker rendition of....

It featured everyone in our family and a big thanks to our Brilliant Editor in Chief 'Rachel Hirschi' I'mgoing to ask that next year she gets a raise!

This years Quidditch World Cup was played mainly by the children and was MC'd by Kurt who was in the back of the pick up truck grand stand!

Suiting up

Opeing their Brooms

Back to the Hogwarts Express, treats from the Trolley (we had real chocolate frogs this year) and getting robes on

The anual welcome and warnings from Dumbledore

Sorting the New Comer's

Kurt laughing because the sorting hat told him he was "a bit further along in the middle then he might have supposed"

The Great Feast Snails, Melon bludgers and Slitheryn snakes

Time for Potions...with Professer Snape being Skyped in from Florida!

Partnering up and working on "Love Potion #9"

we kind of rigged it so the kids potions would go haywire, ok we TOTALLY rigged it and we were so busy laughing hysterically I think we forgot to video tape some of the most hillarious expereinces of the whole party. I might write it out some time!

Onto Care of Magical Creatures
the students had to trim up their chickalee chia and give it a proper hair do!

Professor Flitwick

"Wingardium Leviosa"

The students had to levitate a feather which I think we video'd but didn't get a picture of.

Last class of the day Divination with Professor Trelawny
Cami deserves to be nominated in the Grammy's????

This years big surprise... WIZARDS CHESS
It was amazing to be a part of and Ashlee who made the chess board has already had requests from the neighbors to use it for various parties/activities

The party ended Monday at 4 or 5 or maybe even 7. I can't remember but 24 hours sounds about right. It was the best!
